fractional co-founder
The right co-founder changes everything. So does the wrong one.
Finding a co-founder is one of the most consequential decisions you'll make as a founder — and one of the easiest to rush. Many founders either partner with the wrong person out of urgency, or go it alone and feel the weight of that every day.
There's a third option.
As a fractional co-founder, I work alongside you as a genuine strategic partner — not an advisor you check in with once a month, but someone actively invested in your progress, thinking through the hard problems with you, and helping you move faster than you could alone.
What this looks like in practice
Fractional co-founder engagements are more involved than advisory. I'm a thinking partner across all the areas that matter at the earliest stage:
Idea and model validation Before you build, we pressure-test. Is this the right problem? The right market? The right approach? Better to know now.
Strategy and roadmap Turning a vision into a sequence of decisions. What to build first, what to ignore, and how to stay focused when everything feels urgent.
Capital raising I've raised capital before. I'll help you get investor-ready, refine your pitch, and navigate the fundraising process with a clear strategy.
Team building Your first hires set the culture. I'll help you identify what you actually need, how to attract people before you can pay market rates, and how to onboard well.
Day-to-day founder support Sometimes you just need someone to think out loud with who won't panic with you. That's part of this too.
This is for you if…
You're a solo founder who needs a strategic partner, not just an advisor
You're pre-seed or early seed and the decisions feel too big to make alone
You've explored co-founder options and haven't found the right fit
You want hands-on involvement from someone who's built and exited startups before
Frequently asked questions
How is fractional co-founder different from advisory? Advisory is structured around guidance — I help you think through decisions. Fractional co-founder is more involved — I'm actively working with you on the business, not just being consulted on it. The engagement depth, time commitment, and scope are all greater.
Do you take equity? Equity arrangements are discussed case by case depending on the scope and nature of the engagement. We'll work out a structure that reflects the value and commitment on both sides.
How many companies do you work with at once? Intentionally few. This model only works if I can give meaningful time and attention, so I keep capacity limited.
